Everybody knows rabbits breed like rabbits. What they don't know could fill a warren.
Twenty-two rabbit species rank among the most endangered mammals on Earth. Consider the European Rabbits, a hair's width from extinct. Humans brought European rabbits to Australia as a food source, lost control of the population, then engineered a plague to fix their own mistake. A virus with a 99.8% kill rate, released deliberately into the wild. They called it myxomatosis. The rabbits call it the Black Rabbit of Inlé. A plague that outruns the problem.
He moves like a problem without a solution, random, faking, fleeing. He puts distance between himself and the shadow that followed rabbits since the first one was labeled varmint.
He has nowhere to be, and spends his lifetime getting there as fast as possible.
